In recent years
I’ve done more collaborative writing with my sister, Jen Downes,
including a couple of short stories, one of which recently scored a
placement.
Our
horror short “The Brandstatter Watch” a tale of the undead set
some hundred years ago in the English southwest, was picked up by the
new horror title Tales of
Horror. This was a
delightful surprise and is our first full-on collaboration to see
pint. You can find it in the third issue of Tales
of Horror, at
https://talesofhorrormagazine.com/product/issue3/
The magazine has
expressed an interest in seeing some other material from us, and
we’ll be putting something together in the very near future.
Other
collaborations include an SF short currently on submission to an
anthology, and joint ideas for further tales of occult investigator
Inspector Trevelyan, including a first full length novel. These
stories were a joint creation many, many years ago, and which lay
fallow in a notebook for most of them , until the day came I dusted
off the idea and got a couple of stories down on disc.

Watch out for more
collaborations as time goes by!
Cheers,
