After some considerable time in development, the first volume of Tales of the Middle Stars just went live at Amazon!
Since 2015 I've completed sixty pieces in this sprawling arc, ranging from flash to novella in length. This is the story of human expansion into the cosmos in the centuries ahead, with all the triumphs and tragedies, mysteries and opportunities one might imagine among distant stars and encountering exotic, amazing life.
The wonderful folk at Jay Henge Press in Sweden, who have published so many of my stories in their anthologies over the years, were delighted to release a single-author collection, and this is the result. Twelve tales, only four of which have been previously published, and two of which were written especially for this volume. This collection begins the saga from the year 2249 with the opening of the first alien embassy on Earth, and chronicles events over the next two centuries. Encounters with alien peoples and natural phenomena are the theme, as the exploration of deep space continues to surprise and amaze.
The book went live at Amazon US, UK and Aus yesterday, and is available in hardback, paperback and Kindle editions.
